Rockstar To Be Investigated?
Laptop Battery The co-publisher of GTA: San Andreas will likely soon find itself the subject of an investigation by the Federal Trade Commission. Today, by an overwhelming count of 355-21, the House of Representatives voted to back such an action against Rockstar Games, according to a news on GameSpot.
The focal point of the investigation will be to determine if Rockstar and Take-Two purposely sought to deceive the Entertainment Software Ratings Board when San Andreas was originally submitted. The ratings board itself has been under intense scrutiny since the 'Hot Coffee' story first broke.
Things really escalated last week when the ratings board revoked San Andreas' M rating and replaced it with an AO rating... a rating that most retailers find unacceptable which in turn lead them to pull the game off shelves until a new version with the sex-mini games edited out can be released.
