Gateway If foot straps attach to your board in an arc to accommodate your feet, why do most of them come out of the package flat? Wouldn't it make more sense to manufacture them in an arc shape in the first place?
Laptop Parts Apparently, Rick Baldwin, the inventor of Pro-Flex foot straps, thought so. Picture these two uppercase Ls standing about 6 inches apart, back to back, and mounted that way on your board. Now bend the tops of both Ls toward each other until they overlap into the shape of an Omega symbol. There you have it: Rather than forcing a flat strap into an arc by pushing your foot into place, there's a natural curve, with virtually no pressure on the top of your foot until you flex your arch.
Software While these aren't the lightest straps on the market (6.7 ounces), they could be some of the strongest. The adjustment strap is attached with a stainless-steel pin, and the 3/8-inch attachment ends are beefy enough to hold a truck (you'll need to use 1-inch screws rather than the typical 3/4-inch).
