Overnight French Toast

Ingredients

  • 2
  • Eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 c Milk
  • 1/4 ts Vanilla extract
  • 1 tb Orange juice
  • 6
  • 3/4" slices French bread
  • 1 1/2 ts Sugar
  • 2 tb Butter
  • 1/8 ts Ts salt
  • Powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Combine eggs, milk, orange juice, sugar, salt, cinnamon and vanilla; beat well.
  2. Set aside, place bread in a single layer in a shallow dish.
  3. Pour egg mixture over bread; turn slices to coat evenly.
  4. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours.
  5. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in skillet and cook 3 minutes on each side or until brown.
  6. Repeat procedures with remaining butter and bread slices.
  7. Sprinkle toast with powdered sugar.
