Chicken Little Hatches
Laptop Battery Buena Vista Games has recently announced that they have begun shipping their upcoming Game Boy Advance title, Disney's Chicken Little. Inspired by the upcoming theatrical release, Chicken Little will be available for the GBA, GameCube, Playstation 2, and Xbox gaming systems.
"'Chicken Little' marks one of our largest self-publishing initiatives ever," said Graham Hopper, senior vice president and general manager, Buena Vista Games. "With both a major theatrical release and video games, 'Chicken Little' will provide engaging entertainment for both moviegoers and gamers."
As an added bonus for fans of the the film series, Buena Vista has included a free, promotional children's movie ticket in each of the game's versions. Chicken Little marks the first release of since being acquired by BVG.
"Being an internal studio within The Walt Disney Company, we were given access to amazing resources and technology to re-create and expand upon the world of 'Chicken Little,'" said John Blackburn, vice president, Avalanche Software. "The game not only revisits some key events of the film, but extends the experience with unique locations and challenges."
The GBA iteration of the series is set to include three originally designed gaming modes. The upcoming title will come equipped with a story, dodge-ball, and a racing mode. While in story mode, gamers explore a series of 12 unique levels as characters from the movie.
Fans of the series will have the opportunity to play as Chicken Little, Fish-Out-of-Water, Commander Ace, and even Chicken Little's alter ego. As far as the racing mode goes, A2M (A2M developed the GBA version) has incorporated eight racing tracks, along with several unlockable vehicles. The dodgeball element of the title is also set to come equipped with six different playing fields.
On the console front, the game will offer players the opportunity to gather a wide array of weapons and gadgets as they progress through the game's twenty one levels. Featuring 3D environments from the theatrical films, Chicken Little will try to capture the key elements of the movie.
In addition to the story mode for the console versions, Avalanche Software has included six two player mini-games along with movie clips and an extended storyline. The upcoming title will be available in retail locations shortly at a price of $39.99 for the console iterations, while the GBA version will sell for $29.99. In addition, the GBA game has been given an "E" rating by the ESRB with the console titles receiving a slightly higher "E10+" mark.
According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.
