Desktops NOTE 10: If you use eTill and your Acquirer uses the VISA Payment Gateway, you will need to install eTill CSD 1013 (or later) and configure your Merchant Acquirer Profile to specify 'HTTPALT1' as the GATEWAYPROTOCOL. The GatewayProtocol field is contained in the ETACQCFG table but is not exposed in the Payment Configuration Form. This field needs to be updated for each merchant-Acquirer pair that is going to be using the VISA Payment Gateway.

Cognos For example, to update the Acquirer Profile for a merchant with merchant reference number '2066' and AcquirerBin '456789' and AcquirerBusinessID '1122334455' you would do:

Hosting db2 connect to <dataname_name>

Netfinity db2 update ETACQCFG set GATEWAYPROTOCOL='HTTPALT1'

Internet where MERCHANTNAME='2066' and ACQUIRERBIN='456789'

Cheap Computer and AcquirerBusinessID='1122334455'

Digital Camera Do this after you have completed configuring the Acquirer and

Battery NOTE 14: If you have installed Net.Commerce V3 WITHOUT migrating, but you have APIs from Version 1 or 2 that you would like to use with Version 3, place your API libraries into \Ibm\NetCommerce3\Bin and activate them. See "How Do I Create Overridable Functions" in the Net.Commerce online information for details.

It Support NOTE 15: If you run the schema or remote_schema commands, and your ENCRYPTED password contains any of the following special characters:

 & < > |; ,

Western Digital the command will fail. If this occurs, open the file schema.cmd or remote_schema.cmd in a text editor and comment out the line that says:

Music To comment out the line, insert the token REM in the first three columns of the line.

Networks Then run the command again.

Toner NOTE: 16: If you want to configure an AIX remote DB2 database for use with your NT Net.Commerce server, after you have installed Net.Commerce, do the following:

Cheap Laptops On the AIX machine where your DB2 database resides:

Wholesale Note: For these instructions, db2inst1 is used as an example for the DB2 instance user ID.

  1. Brother In the /home/db2inst1/sqllib/function directory, ensure that the netcpswd file exists. If it does not, download the file from the IBM website at www.ibm.com/net.commerce.

  2. Netvista In the /etc/services file, ensure that a connection port and an interrupt port exist. If they do, you should see an entry similar to the following:

  3. db2cdb2inst1 50000/tcp #Connection port for DB2 instance db2inst1 db2cdb2inst1 50001/tcp #Interrupt port for DB2 instance db2inst1

Camera If the connection and interrupt ports do not exist in the file, edit the file and add them.

  4. Networking Ensure that the DB2 parameter name SVCENAME is the same as the db2 connection service name. To verify this, type the following command:

  5. db2 get dbm cfg and look for the SVCENAME parameter. If it is not set properly, use the following command to change the setting: db2 update dbm cfg using SVCENAME db2cdb2inst1
  6. Sharp In the db2inst1 .profile file, add the following line:

  7. export DB2COMM=TCPIP

Cheap Then run the .profile file to refresh the user's settings.

  8. Windows If you have an existing database, which was created by an AIX Net.Commerce server, you must create a new database. To create a new database on DB2, type the following:

db2 create database <db_name> where <db_name> is the name of the new database.

Monitors Note: If you have an existing database which was created by an NT Net.Commerce server, you do not need to perform this step.

NOTE 17: If you want to use store level logon (instead of site level), you must recode your macros according to V3 specifications. For more information, refer to the Net.Commerce online information. NOTE 18: After you migrate and have invoked the Sample or Tutorial functions in the Net.Commerce Administrator, the database list does not include the default database that is installed via migration. To correct the problem, use Configuration Manager (http://<host_name>:4444) to switch to the desired database. NOTE 19: If you want to use /msprotect after migration, do not run your Web server in CGI mode. (This means you must NOT comment out the statements concerning ICAPI and NSAPI in httpd.conf.) NOTE 20: After you upgrade from Net.Commerce START to PRO, the Product Advisor button does not appear on the Store Manager. To correct the problem, do the following on your browser:
  1. Iseries Select "Preferences..." from the Edit pull-down menu.

  2. Backup Click on "Cache" under "Advanced" in the Preferences window.

  7. Security Start your browser and access Store Manager. The button should appear.

  8. Lotus Set your cache comparison back to "Once per session".

  9. Virus Delete the contents of the directory /users/default/cache in the directory where you installed Netscape

NOTE 21: After you have completed all the post-migration steps, open file ncommerce.ini in a text editor and update the MS_TRANSCOUNT as follows: MS_TRANSCOUNT 250 NOTE 22: After you have completed all the post-migration steps, reboot your machine. Some Net.Commerce components may not function properly until you reboot. -------------------------------- Store Creation and Customization -------------------------------- NOTE 23: Stores created with the Store Creator will not work correctly if the Net.Commerce Server cache is on. By default it is off, and should remain off if you are using stores created by Store Creator. To ensure the cache is off, open httpd.cnf in a text editor and look for the ServerInit statement that has a CACHE parameter. The value of the CACHE parameter should be "OFF". NOTE 24: If you create a store and later modify it using the Store Creator, you must restart your browser if you switch to a different product bundle. NOTE 25: The Product Advisor is not supported on the Domino Web Server (as opposed to Domino Go Webserver). If you use the Domino Web Server, the Product Advisor button will be disabled. NOTE 26: The macros used by the sample mall and stores are for demonstration purposes only. Changes are needed if you want to use them for production. For example, you must convert all HTML FORM statements to use the POST method instead of the default GET method. If you want to use these macros for production, please contact the IBM Net.Commerce Services and Support Team through the Net.Commerce Web site at http://www.ibm.com/net.commerce. NOTE 27: When you retrieve data from the Net.Commerce database, the maximum length of data you can retrieve is 30000 bytes. NOTE 28: Some Template Designer sample files were modified after generation to support national currency symbols. These changes will be lost if you save the files with the Template Designer. If you do save the files with the Template Designer and you want them to support a national currency symbol, you will have to add the currency support manually by using another file editor. ----- Other ----- NOTE 29: The only Net.Commerce commands that are documented are the ones that you use for store pages. Internal commands, such as those used for Net.Commerce Administrator functions, are not documented. NOTE 30: The Installing and Getting Started book uses default path names for most instructions. See "Conventions Used in This Book" in the Preface of the book for more information.
