Sorry but setting up the FTP server on the i5 should have all of the relevant security surrounding it, I just started the FTP server locally and it works just fine so it is just a case of making sure you can restrict access, then create the FTP link in studio (I think its Add FTP Server). Then you should be able to connect. The rest will be ensuring security is maintained and how to manage the objects if multiple users need access all the time to the same objects etc etc etc...
