According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.

Thinkpad "This is bad news for anyone who breathes. President Bush is giving polluters the green light to ignore Americans' health and safety," said Carl Pope, Sierra Club's Executive Director. "People think air should be getting cleaner, not dirtier, but the Bush Administration today told polluters they can go ahead and dump more junk in the air. President Bush should instead enforce the law and tell power plants to reduce their pollution so our communities are healthier places to raise families."

Microsoft New Source Review is the part of the Clean Air Act that requires older factories to install modern pollution control technology when they make a change that increases pollution. The program has been instrumental in controlling pollution from older refineries, power plants and other factories. These older facilities release four to ten times more pollution, including sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, and mercury, than modern plants. Studies have linked these pollutants to serious health effects, including increased rates of asthma, heart disease, and premature death. A study last year found that the power plants that are being sued for violating New Source Review are linked to at least 5,500 premature deaths a year, many of which could be prevented if these plants installed the modern pollution control technology required by the New Source Review program.

PURE offsets carbon dioxide emissions by buying up "licenses to pollute" the high quality regulated carbon credits allocated to industry. The Trustees then cancel around the world that reduce emissions and limit the amount of carbon dioxide that polluting companies are allowed to release into the atmosphere. The cost of the remaining carbon credits are also driven up, automatically penalising polluters and encouraging others to reduce emissions. Laptop Computers "The New Source Review Program works. It has helped make the air cleaner. It's irresponsible to weaken a successful solution like this," said Pope.
