Warp Pipe Update

Warp Pipe Update

Three beta builds ago, the Warp Pipe team was able to achieve 50 FPS (frames per second) in Mario Kart. Now, with the latest private build, the game has successfully been run at full speed between two machines about 250 miles away from each other.

Also of note is that gamers will no longer need a router to operate the Warp Pipe software! This is great news for people who aren't willing to lay down the money for an internet router. The team has tested their beta build with the following setups:

  • Hub/Switch Direct to Internet
  • NAT (DSL/Cable Router)
  • Two PC Network Cards
  • NAT + Hub/Switch
  • USB Cable Modem + One PC Network Card

For you convenience, here is the link to the Full Speed Video. It is about 14.2 MB's in size.

You will need Bit Torrent, which you can download here.
