World Publications names Jo Rosler Chief Operating Officer

Laptop Battery New York, N.Y. - World Publications CEO Terry Snow announced today the appointment of Jo Rosler as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Rosler has spent the last 15 years as a senior media executive in a variety of positions including President of Scientific American and Chief Financial Officer for Gruner + Jahr, USA (Bertelsmann).

-- Nero, leaders in digital media technology, announced today that Udo Eberlein, has been named chief executive officer of the company. Eberlein, who most recently served as Nero's chief operating officer succeeds Richard Lesser, Nero's founding chief executive officer who will continue to actively serve Nero as chairman of the company's supervisory board.

Thinkpad Rosler joins World Publications from MIT Technology Review where he focused on extending the brand globally. Before that, he was the COO for AngelSociety, a media company focused on the early-stage private-equity investment market. While at Scientific American, he oversaw a significant period of circulation and revenue growth as well as many new ventures, including newsletters, conferences, new publications and started numerous foreign editions of Scientific American. He also built partnerships with the Department of Commerce to support the National Medal of Technology and with PBS to expand Scientific American Frontiers.

Acronis announced that its board of directors has named Walter Scott as the company's president and chief executive officer.

Microsoft Rosler worked for Gruner + Jahr, USA as CFO and COO in the early `90s. While there, he oversaw the growth of Parents and YM, the launch of Ser Padres and the acquisitions of Family Circle, McCall’s and Fitness.

Laptop Computers Commenting on his appointment, Snow said, "Jo’s wide-ranging background in publishing will be a real plus for our company as we continue to grow." Rosler will be responsible for initiating and leading the company’s operations in finance, production and manufacturing, circulation, IT and human resources.

According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.
