Laptop Computer Carnival, which is based in Miami, Florida, said fuel costs rose 11 percent since March and cruise bookings for the Caribbean were down due to fear of the hurricane season which is about to start. As a result, Carnival, as well as other cruise lines, were lowering fares in the hopes of rallying more sales, which in turn will affect their bottom line, Carnival said in a statement released earlier today.
