Convertibles/Roberts Performer 275
Author:
Ken Winner The 275 Performer, the widest convertible on the water, proved a surprise favorite among testers. Guest testers found themselves making jibes on this board that they didn't expect to make, and a couple of pros found themselves surfing it - and loving it - in half-mast waves with a 6.7 sail. This board is a tad flat for rough chop, and it'll pearl if you cut back too late on a steep wave, but it has tremendous all-around performance. Strap anti-twist is weak, and nonskid is just adequate, but deck pads and straps are good. PG
