Datanautics Appoints Clive Beavis Vice President-Engineering
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 9, 2004--Datanautics, the leading provider of eBusiness analytic solutions for the enterprise, today announced the appointment of software development expert Clive Beavis as Vice President-Engineering.
Beavis, a 20-year veteran in software development management for leading software and startup firms, has managed development of both embedded and wireless software ranging from compilers and operating systems to middleware and databases.
Beavis most recently served as Vice President of a start up company focused on Homeland Defense projects. He previously was Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technical Officer at Micro Focus, where he oversaw all research and development of the company's entire product range. As Vice President of Products for PeerLogic, Beavis coordinated efforts of four acquired development teams and was a member of the management team that positioned PeerLogic for acquisition by Critical Path (NASDAQ:CPTH). He also has served as Vice President-Engineering at Centura Software. He holds the distinction of being the first student to achieve the first class honors degree in Computer Science from his alma mater, the University of Wales.
