It seems a growing number of films with modest box office results are becoming hits in the rental market.

Laptop Computer Rodriquez's previous movie, "Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over," generated $33.4 million in its debut, and was the third biggest ever in April. Sin City was his no. two in opening ticket sales at theaters.

Notebooks "Guess Who", a film by Sony Pictures, came in 3rd at the box office with $13 million in ticket sales. The film debuted last week, falling 37% in its audience attendance slot this week and has generated an estimated $41.3 million in its first 10 days. Beauty Shop has generated $17.3 million since its opening Wednesday."Guess Who" and "Beauty Shop" are both PG-13 comedies with black stars, black directors and aimed at a similar audience.

Lenovo Coming in no. 4 at the box office this week was the animated film by 20th Century Fox, "Robots", which brought in $10 million at the box office. The film has generated $104.6 million for Fox since it debuted four weeks ago.
