Review Strengths: Solid construction. Quiet. Great
product! Summary: This is a very well made
product. The frame is all metal. The edges are slightly rounded
and polished so as not to scratch anything. You truly can not
hear the fans running. It does a really good job of cooling my
laptop. It is a beautiful piece of workmanship. What else could
you ask for desktops

Review Strengths: Good contruction, all aluminum
alloy, looks cool Summary: I am very satisfied
with my Cooler Master Notepal. I bought it after noticing that
my laptop would run up to 80 degrees celcius when I was gaming
on it. The Notepal looks much sleeker than most cooling pads I
looked at. The whole thing is aluminum alloy with a brushed
look, no cheap plastic, and feels very solid indeed. It has 2
USB ports in the back, although you can only use 1, since 1
will be taken up connecting the Notepal to your computer. There
is an on/off button for the fans, which are fairly quiet. When
gaming, I can t hear the fans over the background music in
game. So far, when gaming, I haven t seen my laptop
temperature exceed 72 degrees, which I feel is a significant
improvement. The Notepal does have a rather large footprint (12
inches deep, 12.5 inches wide). Also, the edges are quite
sharp, not sharp in a way that would cut you, but it feels like
it might scratch glass or other metal if rubbed against it.
Overall, well built, good looking and does it s job.
Incidentally, I e-mailed the support at Cooler Master before
buying to check if the USB port is 2.0 (it is) and received a
reply within a few hours and the promptness of the customer
service further encouraged me to buy this. cognos
