Laptop Battery On September 27th, 2004 at 6:30 p.m., Osmosis will offer the time-honored Japanese tradition of otsukimi, or moon viewing, to celebrate the rising of the full moon as it spreads over the meditation garden and hills of Freestone in Sonoma County. During Osmosis' final otsukimi of the season, guests will be treated to a unique program featuring haibun, or "haiku stories," accompanied by shakuhachi, a bamboo flute said to produce sounds that replicate the full range of natural life on earth.

Desktop Computer A former bartender at San Francisco's Olympic Club, Jerry Kilbride won a local haiku contest sponsored by Japan Air Lines in 1987 and was subsequently featured in a San Francisco Examiner story "The Bartender Who Pours Haiku on the Side." In the next few years Mr. Kilbride went on to win some of the most prestigious haiku contests in America and Japan. He was cofounder of the Haiku Poets of Northern California and served as vice president of the Haiku Society of America.

Currently a professor of music at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., Dr. Yun has performed at the welcoming ceremonies of the Winter Olympics and was a featured guest soloist on the nationally televised special "The World's Largest Concert."
Gateway While enjoying an unforgettable evening of haiku and shakuhachi hosted by Richard Jedd Krivcher, Osmosis Moon Viewing guests will enjoy the new, four-years-in-the-making Meditation Garden featuring a large koi pond, aromatic chamomile lawns, Japanese maples, a soothing waterfall, and swaying bamboo. Afterward, under the light of the moon, guests will be treated to tea and will take home a keepsake cup. Additionally, guests will enjoy complimentary enzyme foot baths. Cost is $12, and all proceeds benefit the Occidental Area Health Center as part of Osmosis' commitment to the Sonoma County community. Space is limited.
