Square Enix Earnings Up
Laptop Battery Square Enix has reported financial earnings results for the first three quarters (9 months) of its current fiscal year, which ends in March.
For the first nine months of the fiscal year, the company reports are earnings increase of 22%, with pretax profit at 26.5 billion yen (US$255.6 million). Square Enix's net profit was 13.5 billion yen (US$130.2 million), and the company's sales were 73 billion yen (US$704 million).
Square Enix attributes the earnings increase to successful titles like Dragon Quest IV, which has shipped over 3 million units in since November 2004. Further successful titles like Kindgom Hearts: Chain of Memories, which shipped of 360,000 units in Japan and 580,000 units in North America, and Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, which shipped 360,000 units in North America and 110,000 units in Europe also helped contribute to Square Enix's increased earnings.
According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.
