Hard Drive The points of the contract would allow for a deal between the county and Branson in which Branson would lease the mansion and 80 acres of surrounding property for 99 years.
Travelstar The Virgin Spa at Natirar, a limited corporation, would then be free to restore and expand the existing mansion and surrounding buildings into a "world class" resort, including a full-service restaurant, a catering facility, a spa, and an inn and conference center. The facility would be open for local membership and public use.
Gateway Weddings, corporate meetings and catered affairs would be a part of the package, while the mansion would be preserved in its original character, all changes and additions aligning with the original Tudor architecture. If approved by the county, the facility's projected opening date would be early 2006.
Laptop Parts For its part, the Branson operation would pay all improvement costs, and the lease payments would be based on incremented revenue sharing with the county. The projected revenues for the first 30 years might reach as much as $25.7 million. Beginning next year, Branson would begin paying the county fixed-lease payments of $200,000.
Software According to the lease proposal, total annual lease payments to the county might escalate to $1.3 million per year, not including revenue sharing.
Hard Drives The deal is to be formally presented to the freeholders at a workshop meeting Aug. 14. And formal approval is expected to follow at the governing body's regular meeting Aug. 19.
Electronics "Anything can happen with the contract, but we think the contents of it are agreeable to the freeholder and to the Branson people," said County Administrator Richard Williams.
Canon Williams said, under the plan, Branson would not be permitted to do anything on the property that is not first approved by the county. The county also has a preliminary agreement to allow the Branson- leased section of the property to be used for nonprofit fund-raising events.
Desktop Pc Once the lease deal is complete, Williams said county officials will concentrate their efforts on formulating specific uses for the remaining 400 acres, which might include everything from the old grist mill being converted into a museum to turning some green acres into a spot for concerts and other outdoor events.
Desktop Computers The Somerset Hills mansion was built in 1912 for Kate Macy and Brooklyn attorney Walter Ladd and was purchased by the Moroccan king for a record $7.5 million in 1983.
Think Pad Following the king's death, the fate of the estate was uncertain, though both Somerset County and Branson worked behind the scenes to woo the Moroccan vote. In addition, "developers were lined up" waiting to pounce, said those close to the estate dealings.
Repair Ultimately, the county won with its offer of $22 million. The deal was closed in March
Data Recovery Richard Hofflich, who had been handling the sale on behalf of the Moroccan government, at the time said the decision was based on the wishes of the late king.
