  3. As400 The files are named as follows:

    Averatec If the example contains a single class, the class name is the filename. For instance, the class name in Example 1.1 is Welcome, thus the filename for this example is Welcome.java.

    Hardware If the example is a Java application with multiple classes, the class that contains the main method determines the filename. For instance, the filename for Example 9.1 is ButtonDemo.java since the main class is ButtonDemo.

    Dual Xeon If the example is a Java applet, the filename is the applet class name. For instance, the filename for Example 10.1 is MortgageApplet.java since the applet class is MortgageApplet.

    Storage For each applet, the associated HTML file is also provided. The HTML file is named according to the applet name. For instance, the HTML filename for Example 10.1 is MortgageApplet.html because the applet class is MortgageApplet.

  4. Seagate Source code for even-numbered exercises is in 3eEvenNumberedExercises.

  5. Computer Sales The files are named as Exercisex_y.java for the yth exercise in Chapter x. Only even-numbered exercises are provided to the students.

  6. Computer Hardware Answers to Review Questions are in reviews. This folder contains 16 MS Word files, each contains answers to Review Questions for a chapter in the text. Additionally, the .html files are provided for the answers.

  • Printers Please note: The applet located in "3eEvenNumberedExercises/Exercise10_2.html" and several others on the CD have been created to work in Netscape 6, or appletviewer (a utility to test Java applets). To view these applets you will need to download and install Netscape 6 for WIndows. (Please note that Netscape 6 is still in beta at this time.)

Used Computers If you use JBuilder 3.5 on Windows 98, NT, or 2000, you need a Pentium II 233 or a faster processor, a minimum of 128 megabytes of RAM, and at least 150 megabytes of disk space.
