What Will Gmail Mean to Email Marketers?
EmailLabs Experts Available to Outline Likely Impact of
Google's New Free Email Service -- and Why Marketers Must be
Ready
REDWOOD CITY,
Calif.--(
BUSINESS WIRE)--June 10,
2004--For email marketers seeking to make sense of Gmail,
Google's new Web-based email system that is now in beta test,
senior executives from EmailLabs -- a leading provider of email
marketing automation
solutions -- are available to
provide expert commentary on why and how marketers should be
preparing now for Gmail's formal entry onto the scene.
Loren McDonald, marketing vice president at EmailLabs
(www.emaillabs.com), and Kirill Popov, director of ISP relations
and delivery, can address specific Gmail features and rendering
issues that marketers need to understand. Lack of awareness of how
the Web-based service treats permission e-mails, they maintain,
could cost companies both subscribers and revenue.
Laptop Battery Google has not yet announced an official launch timeline, but
Gmail is expected to be available to the general public within the
next several months -- and perhaps much sooner. Despite concerns
about
privacy resulting from Google's
use of e-mail text searches to display targeted ads, McDonald
and Popov suggest that Gmail will be an enormous success very
quickly. Now, some 45 to 60 percent of those targeted by B2C
email marketers use one of the current top three e-mail
services: AOL, Yahoo and MSN/Hotmail. EmailLabs anticipates
that, within the next few years, Gmail will eat into their
share, and that of other providers', to capture five to 10
percent of the market.
According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.
