Snappy Auctions Releases SnappySales Enterprise Software v.2 to
Manage and Support eBay Drop-Off Centers Nationwide
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 20, 2004--Snappy Auctions,
the leader in bricks and mortar eBay consignment centers, announced
today the release of the first completely independent web-based
software program that can enable eBay drop off businesses
nationwide to manage all aspects of consignment sales on eBay and
other online auction media. The new software, SnappySales v. 2, is
completely independent of any other online auction listing
tools.
Currently, more than 120 independent bricks and mortar businesses
have been launched to offer consignment selling on eBay. "Without
the right systems in place, each of these independents can quickly
get to a point where they will need this type of back end system to
manage all aspects of their business, " said Debbie Gordon, CEO of
Snappy Auctions. "With SnappySales, Snappy Auctions realized
immediate efficiencies in labor management, customer service,
accounting, quality control, and ultimately in profitability. We
immediately minimized costs and maximized
profits." said Debbie Gordon,
CEO of Snappy Auctions.
Laptop Battery Snappy Auctions has already helped one independent eBay drop-off
store solve the problems associated with not having such a system.
Formerly The Auction Point, Snappy Auctions of Manasquan New Jersey
needed a solution for managing their business after being up and
running for only 4 months. "Even Snappy Sales v. 1 was an
incredible solution for us. The latest version will have a huge
impact on this industry for other independent drop off centers that
need a solution to manage their business and maximize profits,"
said Justin Kamm, founder of The Auction Point.
According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.

It all sounds very familiar, but there are stark differences when it comes to imaging remote servers to a central repository. Quite simply, V2i Protector supports this feature, and Acronis True Image Server 7 won't until Acronis releases its Enterprise version. Admittedly, Symantec's extremely tedious V2i agent installation routine, required to access remote servers, is still a bone of contention, but at least you can manage all your image tasks from a central location.
