Toll had proposed a zoning swap that would have allowed it to build up to 150 age-restricted townhouses on a 65-acre parcel on Centerton Road, adjacent to the Laurel Creek housing development.

Microsoft A letter from Toll attorney Carl S. Bisgaier, faxed to township officials late Monday afternoon, informed them that time had run out.

Neither Albert Rylak, attorney for the planning board, nor Carl Bisgaier, attorney for Toll Brothers Inc., could be reached for comment.
Desktop Computer That project is an office park for Lockheed Martin that would have been built on the 70-acre Winner farm if the council had passed a zoning "swap" ordinance.
Notebooks The Winner farm is surrounded on three sides by property on which an industrial park is planned and by Interstate 295 on the fourth side. Its residential zoning would allow for fewer than 42 single-family homes to be constructed.
Lenovo The withdrawal of the zoning application means that Toll will not purchase the Winner property. The company already has its plans for the office park on the land adjacent to Laurel Creek on the November agenda for the township Planning Board.
Hard Drive Residents have agreed throughout much of the process that the zoning change makes sense. The density was the sticking point and one that Mayor Howard A. Miller Jr. resisted up to Sunday night before Toll finally withdrew its application.
