Residents should also try to avoid being out at dawn or dusk, when mosquitoes are most likely to be feeding. Horses should be vaccinated early in the season.
Electronics In the heat of the summer, mosquitoes go into tall grass so the summer sun does not affect them too much. Sometimes they venture into open buildings and when the sun sets they emerge. Mosquitoes can travel anywhere from five to 12 miles or even further with the wind.
