Sears quarterly profit falls sharply

laptop computers is driving strong sales for notebook computers, according to the latest quarterly sales figures from the research firm IDC, which reported a 37% computer sales for the second quarter, compared with a year earlier. According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.

Laptop Computer The company reported a fourth quarter profit of $378 million, or $1.76 a share, compared to $2.75 billion, or $10.84 a share, a year earlier.

Mitsubishi sales in Japan have fallen sharply since the company acknowledged that it had hidden defects in its vehicles for five years to avoid costly recalls. Hard Drive Costs and expenses were down 12.2% at $10.62 billion in the fourth quarter.

Travelstar Total revenue fell 8.4% to $11.23 billion compared with the 2003 fourth quarter, which included results from the credit card and National Tire and Battery businesses, which were sold in that quarter. The 2003 quarter also had 14 weeks, compared with 13 weeks in 2004.Sales at U.S. stores open for at least a year, a key measure of retail performance, were down 0.2%, dragged down by weak sales in December.

Gateway While the company has been on a decline for years, in November Sears agreed to a sale to Kmart (Nasdaq: KMRT) that will create the nation's third-largest retailer based on sales figures.
