Laptop Battery Ocean County residents can now drop off unwanted computers and peripherals at one of the county's recycling centers. The goal is to keep the computers out of a landfill.

Microsoft Recycling keeps various chemicals and toxins, such as the lead in monitor glass, from becoming pollutants, according to Al Boufarah, manager of Supreme Computer Recycling.
According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.

Hard Drive The county also is running a pilot printer-cartridge recycling program. Residents can get envelopes for ink-jet or laser printer cartridges from the county recycling centers.
Travelstar The cartridges will go to Recycle First, a company in Morton Grove, Ill. The county will receive $1 for each cartridge recycled.
Gateway The Ocean County Southern Recycling Center is on Recovery Road in Stafford Township. The Northern Recycling Center is on New Hampshire Avenue in Lakewood.
Laptop Parts Monitors, CPUs, circuit boards, printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, cables, speakers, laptops and laptop peripherals will be accepted Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
