Gene Gable Joins the IDG World Expo Team to Launch Context
New Suite of Creative Events Will Address the Challenges of
Data-Driven Marketing, Design Automation and Server-Based
Publishing
FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 2, 2004--
Laptop Battery IDG World Expo and publishing industry veteran Gene Gable today
announced the launch of Context(TM), a series of events focused on
the challenges of data-driven marketing, design automation, and
server-based publishing. The first Context event will be held
January 10-13, 2005 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
Comprised of three distinct conferences, Context will examine what
happens when intellectual
property, brand knowledge and
data repositories are combined and automated to produce
effective print and Web communications.
"Consumers are increasingly taking control of the information and
marketing messages coming into their lives, often with government
regulation to back them up," said Gable. "Combine this trend with
the technology of automated, on-demand, data-driven publishing, and
the entire process of creating print and Web communications has to
change. Everyone in the enterprise is now part of the publishing
process, and as we move increasingly to an opt-in model, content
once again has to emphasize usefulness and relevance."
According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.
Thinkpad Context is designed to bring together the various groups who
control the flow of content throughout an organization. The
Creative Professional Conference will tackle the challenges graphic
design and advertising professionals face when
protecting brand image in a server-based, on-demand publishing
world. The Automated Publishing Conference will teach production
managers, publishing executives, IT professionals and service
providers how to effectively implement automated page production
while maintaining content integrity, intellectual property rights
and cost-effective workflows. The Intelligent Marketing Conference
looks at the implementation strategies of companies that are
leveraging customer knowledge to gain better results and increased
customer loyalty.
Universal Music, the largest music company in the world, and Gatorade are the first global brands to partner the team in this exciting new concept. automatically from raw data to highly formatted pages, the role of
design, intellectual rights and brand management are critical and
more difficult to control. Context addresses the challenges facing
creative professionals, IT managers, publishing executives,
marketing directors, advertising professionals, service
providers and all of the parties that come in contact with and
contribute to the content delivery process.
