Wave-Gorge/Fanatic 253 Fly

Wave-Gorge/Fanatic 253 Fly

Author: Ken Winner
The 253 Fly is a radical wave rider's board. It's tiny, rockered and veed to the max. The fins (it's a single-fin design but comes with two) are pretty small, and they like to slide during hard cut backs. All these features make the 253 so loose that moral folk almost don't want to be seen with it. Pads - unbelievably soft pads - stay pretty well stuck to the deck, and nonskid is good. The straps are easy to adjust and reasonably comfortable. Average- to heavyweight riders need solid 25-mph winds to enjoy this board, but lightweights will love it in 20.
