for addressing New Jersey's budget shortfall slashes the state
surplus, dips into the Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund - and
slashes the annual appropriation for shore protection.
According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. and Acting Gov. Donald T. DiFrancesco of a "failure of leadership."
He said Republicans had increased spending, increased the state
work force and fashioned a budget that they knew was inadequate. He
was partisan, but he was also right.
