Snow Storm Heading East After Blanketing Midwest

(AXcess News) Houston, A snow storm that dumped as much as a foot of snow in areas across the plains states Monday is heading East with a vengeance, promising to blanket more of the Eastern seaboard on Tuesday. The snow storm marked the first day of spring, closing hundreds of schools across four states Monday with some areas seeing as much as two feet of snow and its strength is not letting up as it heads East.

Desktop Computer State police reopened a 200-mile stretch of I-90 that had been closed down in South Dakota due to the storm.South Dakota state policehad closed parts of the highway from Rapid City to Chamberlain because of the heavy snow on Monday. Many tractor trailershad been stuck on the road because of the snow, forcing the South Dakota state police to close the road to all travelers.

Notebooks One person was killed in a traffic accident in Colorado due to the snow-covered roads. In another instance, a woman suffering from Alzheimer's disease was found dead Monday after she wandered away from her home. Two other motorists were killed Sunday when their car slid off the road due to ice.
