According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.

Desktop Computer The CD-ROM has two formats on it. When running on a Mac you see a different file system than when running UNIX or Windows.
Notebooks The distrib directory has various versions of Tcl and Tk. On UNIX you need to unpack a tar file and compile Tcl and Tk. This is actually quite easy. See the unix/README file in each release for directions.
Lenovo The windows/tcltk directory has installers for Tcl and TK on windows. These are self installing packages that give you a ready-to-use wish program that you can use to run your Tcl/Tk scripts.
Hard Drive The exsource folder has the sources for all the examples in the book. There is a browser for the examples, browse.tcl, in that folder. On Windows, the easiest way to run this is to start wish and then use its File→Source menu to select browse.tcl from the exsource folder. On UNIX, the easiest way to run the browser is to cd to the exsource directory and run wish browse.tcl
Travelstar Another fun thing to run is the widget demo. On windows you already have a shortcut that runs this directly. On UNIX you need to cd to the tk8.0/library/demos directory and start it with wish widget
Gateway The examples folder has the C code examples from the book, examples/cprog, and another example from the Sun Labs FTP site, examples/build. The examples/guestbook folder has the little CGI demo from Chapter 3.
Laptop Parts The remaining folders contain packages fetched from the Tcl FTP archives. The INDEX file has a list of these along with a few words of description. Most of the packages are in gzip compressed tar format. On UNIX you gunzip < something.tgz | tar tvf - to look at what's inside. To extract it into another directory, do: gunzip < something.tgz | (cd /somewhere/else ; tar xvf -) On Windows there are some free unzip programs in the cd_utils directory. The gzip/gunzip program is also in cd_utils.
