PS: Sound isn''t much good, 05 December 2007 PS: Sound quality and volume of the speakers is crap, like most other monitors with built-in speakers. Get a separate amp / speakers, they work much better. Marcus | London Good, but slightly odd colour handling, 05 December 2007 What it says - basically, this works very well, but I''ve noticed that if I look at a white web page with a blue top or bottom border, as on many web sites, the colour balance of the whole screen shifts slightly towards blue when the border is visible. There are a lot of options for colour handling and I may simply not have tried the right one yet, and in any case this is a fairly subtle effect, but if you''re into web design or need very accurate colour rendition you should be aware that this might occur. That said, it''s bright and flicker free, and has handled everything I''ve thrown at it including DVDs. Recommended.

Excellent all round, 11 December 2007 Usual excellent Morgan dispatch service: ordered on-line Friday 2 pm, at my door Saturday 8.00am. Unlike the slightly flashier successor models, this HP machine has a non-proprietary motherboard (Asus) and so easy upgrade potential. The metallic grey case, though not aspiring to any wow factor, is neat and sturdy and the fans are quiet. Build standard is, as expected of HP, very good. My first task was to shrink the supplied Vista partition and install my own copy of XP Pro as the default boot OS in the liberated disk space and reactivate. All the necessary drivers (most of which are standard in Vista but not in XP) were easy to track down on the Net and install in the new XP partition, and now I have all the hardware working fine in XP, along with a lot of specialist XP-only software that I need. So I now have a machine that meets all my current needs and still has a good deal of upgrade potential as and when needed. I''''m delighted. Michael Beddow | Leeds

Morgan completely rude and unhelpful, suggested contacting the manufacturer when actually their responsibility to sell products ''fit for use''. Phones themselves plasticy and tacky. I''m using it on a motorbike, it works well provided the sun isn''t shining directly onto the screen, which makes it very difficult to see. The touch-screen is a little fiddly, but no worse than any other device this size. About the only down-side is that it doesn''t use rechargable batteries, and gets through a set of four AAs in a couple of hours, so running it off vehicle power is a must.
