Leading European Consumer Products Manufacturer Standardizes on Interwoven Enterprise Content Management Across the Enterprise

Felco Implements Interwoven ECM to Reduce IT and Marketing Costs, Better Manage its Global Brand and Improve Business Process Integration

SUNNYVALE, Calif - May 2, 2005 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for business, today announced that Felco SA, a leading European consumer products manufacturer, is standardizing on Interwoven ECM to improve business and IT processes across the organization.
Felco has selected Interwoven's ECM solutions for Web Content Management, Digital Assessment Management and Web Content Publishing to better manage its website, rapidly launch new microsites for customer and partner marketing initiatives, and enable multilingual print content publishing. By leveraging Interwoven solutions to address a broad spectrum of ECM needs, Felco expects to reduce expenses, improve brand management and achieve a high level of business process integration across the enterprise.

A leading manufacturer of professional-grade pruning and cutting tools since 1945, Felco combines a longstanding reputation for excellence with a high degree of operational sophistication. Headquartered in Switzerland, the company exports over 90 percent of its products to more than 100 countries, including distribution through elite retailers. In the past, the complexity of its publishing requirements-including the translation of content into multiple languages-has led the company to outsource the production and management of its website, an expense that Felco has sought to eliminate. In addition, the effective management of its globally- recognized brand was made more difficult by the lack of a central repository for pre-approved brand compliant images and content.

Felco selected Interwoven to address these challenges as well as support its ECM strategy moving forward. Interwoven Web Content Management will empower Felco's business users to directly contribute content to and manage the company's website, reducing outsourcing expenses. In fact, by using Interwoven Web Content Management, Felco expects to replace its entire

website with a more efficient, automatically-generated version in only twenty days. Further, Interwoven Web Content Publishing will provide a platform for business users to rapidly launch microsites for initiatives such as new product introductions and special events, and may also be used by subsidiaries for the generation of their own microsites.

"Interwoven was able to propose a global solution that met the goals of our long-term ECM strategy," said Stphane Poggi, sales and marketing director at Felco. "To achieve such a complete scope of best-of-breed capabilities from a single vendor offers tremendous benefits to our company, including tight integration and rapid implementation."

In addition to website production and management, Felco will use Interwoven Digital Asset Management to achieve more effective, centralized brand management, ensuring the correct use of its approved images, logos and other content through all of its internal and third-party distribution channels worldwide. As a result, the company will be able to more rapidly produce multilingual sales aids such as catalogues, brochures and user manuals from text and images stored within the

Interwoven repository. The text translation process will be automated, giving external translators the ability to work directly in the content management system via a Web browser, and to also search the database for existing text to expedite their work. Further, Interwoven Digital Asset Management will enable the company to organize and make available its entire library of marketing materials, including images, illustrations, logos, documents, advertisements, brochures, Microsoft Office documents, and video to both internal and external users.

"Today's global brands face the challenge of achieving greater speed, efficiency and coordination across multiple print and online outlets in multiple languages-all while simultaneously reducing costs," said Kevin Hayden, vice president of corporate marketing at Interwoven. "By providing Felco with an integrated solution for addressing its full spectrum of ECM requirements, Interwoven can help the company extend its leadership into a new era of global marketing."
