inaugural Jim
Church Medal for Excellence in
Digital Photography had been won by Mark Snyder from
Astoria, New York for his study "Squid, Dominica.".
According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.

presentation.

are: In the OPEN section: First Prize: Steven M. Genkins, MD of
Charlotte, North Carolina with his "Leaf Scorpion fish;" Second
Prize: Judy Johnson of Irving, Texas for "Curious Wreck
Inhabitant;" Third Prize went to Herb Ko of Mountain View
California for his "Spiral Anemone." Due to the excellence of
submissions in this division there are two Honorable Mentions: One
to Ralph Oberlander of Dover, New Hampshire for his "Blue Ribbon
Eel," and the other to Herb Ko of Mountain View, California for
"The Queen." In the CREATIVE section, First Prize went to Steven
Gerkins, MD of Charlotte, North Carolina for his "Anemone Collage;"
Second Prize to Todd Winner of Hermosa Beach, Florida for "Mandarin
Fish;" and Third Prize to Karen Sweeney of Bokeelia, Florida for
"Mona Lisa."
