EA Signs Maria Menounos to "Star" in From Russia With Love Game
Entertainment Tonight Star To Cross Over Into Classic Bond Game
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., August 3, 2005 Electronic Arts announced today that it has signed Maria Menounos to star in their upcoming video game, From Russia With Love. Lending her voice and likeness to the game, Menunous will appear alongside Sir Sean Connery, reprising his role as James Bond. The game, which is based on the famous Bond movie, will be released worldwide in fall 2005. From Russia With Love is currently under development and is scheduled for a simultaneous release on the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system, Xbox video game system from Microsoft and Nintendo GameCube.
I am honored to be a Bond girl and be a part of the Bond legacy, said Menounos. To star in a video game with Connery, the original Bond, is incredible.
Menounos appears in Fantastic Four from 20th Century Fox and is also the spokesperson for PANTENE hair grooming products. Menounos hosted Entertainment Tonight, ET on MTV and VH1 and has had recurring roles on the TV series One Tree Hill and Without a Trace. In From Russia With Love, Menounos will play the role of Eva, an original character created for exclusively for the game. Eva is villain Red Grants driver and henchwoman, and out to stop Bond at any cost.
Officially licensed by MGM Interactive, From Russia With Love is being developed by EAs Redwood Shores, Calif. studio. This game has not yet been rated by the ESRB. More information on From Russia With Love can be found on the official game site www.bond.ea.com.
