Staff The first priority was to teach Margie how to position her feet on the centerline of the board, but most importantly, how to keep her feet there by feel. Next, we worked on sheeting in with the whole-body weight instead of with the biceps. Within a few minutes, Margie graduated to a 7.0 sail.

The proper correction would be to rake the sail back, but for a visual learner looking at her sail, that was an impossible proposition. So the rest of the time was spent in making automatic the motion of looking ahead. By looking ahead at the horizon, the body automatically made corrections in direction, without having to be taught.
