Tutornet & Harvest Consulting Interactive Education Search Service
BALA CYNWYD, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 1, 2004--Tutornet.com Group, Inc. (Pink Sheet:TTNP), an online provider of educational services is pleased to announce the signing of an exclusive five-year software licensing and marketing agreement with Harvest Consulting Inc, of Orem, Utah. The agreement permits Tutornet to integrate its interactive classroom software with Harvest Consulting's search engine, Advanced Crawler Technology (ACT) to develop an interactive search service focused on Education ("Tutornet INSIGHT").
Tutornet INSIGHT is designed to provide Internet search results tailored to the requestor's need by focusing on the context of the searcher's question. The requestor will have the option to access a Tutornet classroom and interact with a live Tutor to get a better understanding on the subject matter of interest. Existing Internet search engines can burden users with thousands of candidate answers. Tutornet INSIGHT plans to narrow Internet searches, if needed, with interactive, live tutor assistance to yield fewer, but more relevant answers. This unique capability will take Tutornet INSIGHT beyond Internet search capabilities available today. The targeted education market segments for this new capability include; students, teachers, professors, parents, public and private schools, home schooling, colleges, universities, certification for professionals (law, accounting, health, etc), adult and vocational education such as home improvement, gardening, and financial and tax planning. Tutornet and Harvest Consulting plan to launch this service in 3rd quarter 2004.
Harvest Consulting develops advanced data mining software. Its Advanced Crawler Technology (ACT) has made significant strides in accuracy, speed, and application over predecessor technology. The Company's technology is continually improved by professionals who are experts in Internet key word extraction. To date, ACT! has allowed Harvest Consulting customers to grow their information databases quickly and cost effectively. Information about Tutornet services can be found on its WEB site at www.tutornet.ws.
