Prime 2 Won't Support 50 Hz

The warning means that the game will only work properly with a 60 Hertz television, and older 50 Hertz televisions might only show the game in black and white, if at all.
The news is a shock to many European gamers as most games in Europe that support 60 Hertz also support 50 Hertz. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is the first GameCube game that only supports 60 Hertz.
It should be expected that non-European PAL versions of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes will not be compatible with 50 Hertz televisions as well.
