Check Point Revolutionizes Internet Security With New Web Security Solutions
Web Intelligence Technology Provides Protection for the Entire Web Environment; Completes "Perimeter, Internal and Web Security" Roll-Out
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 3, 2004--
Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq:CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today delivered the Web component of the previously announced Perimeter, Internal and Web Security strategy. In November 2003, the company unveiled a roadmap for providing intelligent Perimeter, Internal and Web Security solutions to address customers' dynamic and evolving Internet security challenges. Today's announcement unveils the company's revolutionary new Web Intelligence(TM) technology and new Web security gateway solutions Connectra(TM) and SSL Network Extender(TM) (see related release).
Web Intelligence provides Web application firewall technology for Check Point products, enabling fully-integrated application-level protection to Web servers and back-end systems. Check Point gateways, such as VPN-1(R) and Connectra(TM), are now equipped with Web Intelligence technology in addition to Stateful Inspection and Application Intelligence(TM). Web Intelligence provides an additional layer of defenses for the network, operating systems, Web servers and back-end systems.
Web Intelligence technology provides protection for the entire Web environment with the following features:
-- Malicious Code Protector(TM) -- Innovative patent-pending technology that catches buffer overflow attacks and other malicious code, enabling the highest level of security protection for customers by monitoring Web communications for potential malicious executable code.
-- Advanced Streaming Inspection -- Allows complex inspections and stream manipulation to be done in the kernel to create the industry's fastest application-level security processing, dramatically improving throughput and connection rates.
-- Simple Deployment and Management -- Built to be quickly deployed to protect Web servers without complex tuning and configuration, as well as granular policy management with a flexible and easy-to-use graphical user interface.
