The big winners in the 1998 AFTCO Tag/Flag event were Dave Noling and Stanley Klimek in the Atlantic and Ron Hamlin and Don Anderson in the Pacific. Noling and Hamlin took top captain honors for the Atlantic and Pacific, respectively, while Klimek in the Atlantic and Anderson in the Pacific took top honors in the angling category.

Laptop Battery In the Atlantic, individual captain awards for the most fish tagged (number of fish tagged in parentheses) went to : Al Anderson, bluefin tuna (938); Skip Neilsen, sailfish (80); Paul Ivey, white marlin (238); Dave Noling, blue marlin (148); Jerry Shepherd, yellowfin and bigeye tuna (73). Angler awards went to Ralph G. Christiansen, blue marlin (43); Jim Edmiston, sailfish (37); Stanley Klimek, yellowfin and bigeye tuna (73); Seamus Muldoon, bluefin tuna (96); Greg M. Paley, white marlin (44).

According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.
