London, Jul. 13 - A Persian-language opposition satellite channel aired footage of a demonstration outside Tehran University yesterday by thousands of Iranians calling for the release of all political prisoners.
The television channel, Simaye Azadi, said it obtained the video from supporters of the People's Mojahedin (MeK).
State Security Forces launched a massive crackdown on protestors, severely injuring many of them and arresting individuals suspected of orchestrating the event.
The video clip at first shows a two minute newsreel as the announcer reads the news of the demonstration in Persian and later proceeds to showing pictures at first and then video footage of the event.
