Digital Photo Tip 4
Learn to use the White Balance setting; don't rely on Auto: One of the easiest settings to master is White Balance. If you're in broad daylight, use the sun setting, if you're in shade, the shade setting, under fluorescent lights, use fluorescent, etc. Easy enough, right? This will ensure your whites are a true white and that other colors look as natural as they are in real life. And by setting it manually, you avoid the Auto feature picking the wrong setting. You can also use the shade setting in sunlight to "warm up" your pictures. It's especially effective for sunrise or sunset shots, where the regular sun setting might diminish some colors.
