Sakurai Forms Sora
Laptop Battery Reported by Tim Thomas
Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of the highly successful Kirby and Smash Brothers franchises, and the director of Meteos produced in conjunction with Q? Entertainment, has announced that he will be forming a new company.
The developer, who quit HAL Labs in 2003 out of distaste for working on continual sequels, has formed the company Sora which has two projects currently under development.
With no information revealed on the projects, nothing rules out the company working with Nintendo on one of their upcoming feature titles (Smash Bros. Revolution being a nice fit), as the Kyoto-powerhouse often makes use of outside "help" -- both 2nd- and 3rd-party developers fitting the bill.
The Advanced Media Network will have more information regarding any revelations around the star developer's upcoming projects.
According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.
