GameCube Successor Talk At E3?
Laptop Battery While the focus of E3 for Nintendo intends to be the unveiling of their Dual Screen handheld system as well as their impressive linup of GameCube titles for the remainder of the year, they may yet still talk about their next console as well.
CNN's Chris Morris managed to interview Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo's executive vice president of sales and marketing, and he divulged some interesting tidbits about Nintendo's E3 plans.
Regarding the DS, Fils-Aime said he understands all the skepticism surrounding the platform, but reiterates: "The gamer needs to see it, to see the games, to see the full functionality of the machine. ... That's why we're reticent to give details until we can show it," he said. "If I was a gamer and I only saw bits and pieces of a platform, I'd be skeptical too."
And as for Nintendo's GameCube successor?
"Comment on this will come from the highest levels," said Fils-Aime. "The focus and commitment we have on this will be shown at E3."
If there are any new details to be unveiled about Nintendo's next console, you can be sure it will be done at their pre-E3 press conference or subsequent interviews with executives. GCAdvanced will be certain to bring you these details and more as soon as we can from the Expo floor.
