Free-ride/Bic Veloce 288

Free-ride/Bic Veloce 288

Author: Ken Winner
We respect the opinions of the guest testers, but every now and then they totally miss the boat, or board, as the case may be. For example, they missed the Veloce 288, which, to put it bluntly, is the second-best board in its class. It's spectacularly smooth and controllable on a reach, super-easy to crank into a jibe and more forgiving than Mother Teresa through the turn. It has good components, tough construction, reasonable weight and a very attractive price. To get a better board in this size range you have to go to the Tiga 288, this board's uptown twin.
