Extreme Engineering Introduces High-Speed Network Accelerator

Laptop Battery By WTN News • 01/21/04 MADISON, Wis. - Extreme Engineering, a design services and embedded products company announced the XPedite2000 network security accelerator board, powered by Cavium Networks NITROX Security Macro Processor.

XPedite2000 is a high-speed network card that can process up to 2Gbps of IPsec VPN or SSL bulk encryption with up to 20,000 RSA OPS (operations per second). Network professionals building advanced servers, routers and switches are the products target market.

XPedite2000 is software compatible with all Cavium standard PCI, PCI-X
accelerator boards. Software, drivers and utilities provide a common API set and reference application software. Certified Microsoft Windows drivers are also available for installation and acceleration of Microsoft Internet Information Server performance. Linux based Apache Web server performance can also be accelerated with the supplied drivers.

Pricing for the XPedite2000 starts at $1,495, with OEM volume pricing below $1,000.
