The new ePS Adapters were developed by Proginet as part of the company's agreement with Microsoft Corp. to augment Microsoft's HIS 2004, scheduled for release later this summer. HIS 2004, part of the Windows Server System, will enable enterprises to connect applications on IBM host systems with Microsoft .NET-based systems. Once users log onto their primary computer, they can access resources on any system using Microsoft's HIS 2004 Enterprise Single Sign On (SSO) feature. The ePS Adapters enable single sign-on--even when passwords are changed--by extending the password synchronization functionality of the SSO technology to non-windows platforms.
