Chocolate Angel Food Cake

Ingredients

• 1 c All-purpose flour
• 1 1/2 ts Cream of tartar
• 1/4 c Cocoa
• 1/2 ts Salt
• 1 1/2 c Sugar
• 1 1/2 ts Vanilla
• 10
• Egg whites

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

1. In medium bowl, sift flour.
2. Sift flour again twice with cocoa and 1/2 cup sugar.
3. Set aside.
4. In large bowl, beat egg whites, cream of tartar, and salt until soft peaks form.
5. Gradually add remaining sugar, 2 Tbsp at a time until stiff peaks form.
6. Fold in flour mixture and vanilla.

Directions

1. Pour into ungreased tube pan.
2. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes.
3. Invert pan for about 1 hour or until the cake is cool.
