DoubleClick Strengthens Its European Management Team
Company Adds New Position of Vice President of Sales and Account Management for Europe, Middle East and Africa
New York, 2/10/2004 - DoubleClick Inc. (Nasdaq: DCLK), the leading provider of marketing tools for advertisers, direct marketers and Web publishers, today announced the appointment of Ben Regensburger to vice president of sales and account management, a newly created executive level position.
Ben brings more than 15 years of European sales and marketing management experience to his new role with DoubleClick. In this new role he is charged with overseeing sales and account management for DoubleClicks online advertising and marketing automation divisions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Current clients in those regions include Bertlesman, Dixons, FreeServe, T-online and VNU business publications. Ben joins the company from LYCOS Germany, where he was managing director and a member of LYCOS European Management Board.

Under Bens leadership, LYCOS Germanys financial results improved significantly, and the German portal developed from a search technology platform to a more diverse offering that combines communication, community and entertainment products. He also contributed significantly to building the pan-European brand equity of LYCOS Europe and led the successful ramp-up of the groups e-commerce business. Before LYCOS, Regensburger was Hugo Boss AGs marketing director, responsible for the groups global marketing activities and license sales. Regensburger also held senior marketing positions at Prinz Magazine, an affiliate of the German publishing group Jahreszeiten Verlag, and Procter & Gamble.
Given its large portfolio of services, DoubleClick is in a strong position to play a leading role in helping marketers more effectively communicate with their customers, said Regensburger.
