Opera Mini Web Browser for Mobile Phones Comes Out of Beta

Oslo, Norway April 6, - Opera Software today announced a partnership with JAJAH, one of the world's fastest growing VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) companies, with the intent to optimize the JAJAH Web telephony solution for Opera's browsers. JAJAH's services will be available through Opera Mobile and Opera Mini, and JAJAH will also be offering a customized version of Opera Mini from their Web site. The solution is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2006, and will also be included as a widget in the upcoming Opera 9 desktop browser.

In general, we type the request i.e., URL ( the standardized pointer format to access information from the World Wide Web) of the website, in the address bar of the browser and click on the corresponding ‘Go’ button. The request is then transferred from the local computer to web server through the Internet. Web server will then process the given request and display the copy of the requested webpage in our local computer. Processing the request is considered as the primary task of web server.

For the end-user, this means faster browsing and dramatically reduced phone bills for those who pay per KB in data traffic.

Notebooks Opera Mini's start page features a Google search box for quick access to Web search. And the customizable bookmark list makes it easy to save and surf your favorite sites.

Lenovo The first trial of Opera Mini was launched in Norway in August 2005, and Michael Gartenberg, VP & Research Director of Jupiter Research, called the little, but powerful, browser "a really big breakthrough for the mobile space." Opera now also offers customized versions of Opera Mini to mobile phone operators, handset manufacturers and other companies interested in offering a branded, full mobile Web browser to their customers.
