The ad, signed by 90 supporters, says, "The future of our environment, our elderly, and our community is at stake. The facts are in. That's why we say yes to the CCRC."

According to the indictment, Jones would steal various IBM and Penguin computer servers from Verisign's warehouse in Virginia and sell them to Johnson. Johnson would then sell the servers to several individuals, who would sometimes place them for sale on eBay. As a result of this scheme, the indictment alleges that Jones and Johnson caused Verisign to lose more than $120, 000 worth of computer equipment. In the indictment, Jones and Johnson are charged in three counts with causing the interstate transportation of stolen property, namely IBM 330 and 335 servers, in violation of 18 U.S.C.

Microsoft Meanwhile, neighbors of the abbey petitioned the township committee, which meets Wednesday night on the proposal, to require a majority of four people to approve the zoning change. The petition, filed under state land-use law, must be signed by 20 percent of the landowners within 200 feet of a property whose owner is seeking a zoning change.

Laptop Computers Julia Somers, executive director of the Great Swamp Watershed and a chief opponent of the abbey's plan, estimated that 50 percent of nearby landowners have signed the petition.

minute TV documentary on the controversy over the St. Marys Abbey plan for a retirement center on its Mendham Road land has opened a new theater in the war over the $40 million complex. Elliot Ruga, an acknowledged opponent of the abbey plan, has begun filming but already is in trouble. Abbey officials say they wont cooperate with the filmmaker. They doubt Ruga, 45, a former NBC technical production coordinator who is now president of Lantern Oak Video Productions in Morristown, will give supporters of the abbey plan a fair shake.

Laptop Computer Opponents of the abbey's proposal also worried that the meeting room for Wednesday's session won't be large enough to accommodate the public.

Further aggravating the situation is an incident in which Ruga taped an interview on abbey property without permission. About three weeks ago, Ruga filmed township resident and staunch project opponent Stanton Peele on land off Sugar Loaf Road owned by the abbey. "I hope to interview about 10 people on the local level, " Ruga said. "That includes some of the opposition to the project and some for the project. This includes municipal officials and representatives of the Abbey.

Desktop Computer Mayor Jan Wotowicz said a "lack of availability of other facilities" forced the committee to meet at its regular location of 50 Woodland Ave. In September, hundreds attended when the planning board voted to change the zoning. That meeting was held at Frelinghuysen Middle School.

Notebooks "I think that they are very unrealistic about how many people are very interested in this issue, probably on both sides," said Somers. "Clearly, this is going to be far too small."

Lenovo The committee intends to start its meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday and adjourn no later than 10:30 p.m., officials said.

Hard Drive According to meeting guidelines, people will be given five minutes to speak until everyone has a turn.

Travelstar Wotowicz said there will be additional hearings on the matter, likely at other settings. "Everyone will have an opportunity to have their say regardless of how long it takes," Wotowicz said.

Gateway The hearings are the latest for the long-debated project, which proposes 240 independent-living units, 24 assisted-living units and 48 skilled-nursing beds. The zoning change, approved by the township planning board in September, is needed to move the project forward.

Laptop Parts Opponents are expected to raise many of the same objections they have made before on the abbey proposal, which they contend will destroy environmentally sensitive and historical areas. Proponents say it will preserve both open space and the future of the abbey's St. Benedictine monks.

Software Somers said she hoped the petition seeking a super-majority vote on the zoning change "sends a political message to the township committee that this is a very unpopular proposed ordinance."

Hard Drives The mayor said the township's experts have not ruled on the validity of the petition.

Electronics "That doesn't mean it's not valid. I just don't know," Wotowicz said.
