It is designed to help users of Microsoft Windows XP(TM) and Tablet PC(TM)-based wireless-enabled mobile computers find and connect to wireless networks.
Cirond Winc 2.1 also allows users to create and manage a list of "preferred" wireless networks that automatically stores the settings required to connect to each network - and permits them to update those settings as needed. New for this release are features that allow users to see whether they are connecting an 802.11a, 802.11b or 802.11g wireless network - and to sort lists of wireless networks in a number of different ways (including sort by channel number, SSID and operating mode).
